Tonight’s TV…Exciting times!

There are some good things about Monday’s…namely Monday evenings when your working day is done mind, but still, that’s at least something to be grateful for!

Something else to be grateful for on a Monday is the TV- oh yes, the programmes on a Monday are quite possibly my favourite, especially now Essex has finished for another series… Wednesday’s may never be the same again!

Here’s my pick of what to watch tonight…

Made in Chelsea: Billed as the ‘Sloany way is Essex ’ this is almost the anti-TOWIE, although I’m sure it will be just as addictive. Instead of partying at Sugar Hut and flashing the flesh every five minutes, the kids featured in this programme are all about million pound trust funds, playing polo and buying the finest designer gear. Yep, I’m sure I’ll hate every one of them…

Glee: This is an obvious choice really, as those who read my blog regularly will know I am a super Gleek. Tonight’s episode is a 90 minute special featuring the musical stylings of Lady Gaga once again, and rumour has is Karofsky finally confronts his inner gay demons. Woo, cannot wait!

Young, Rich and House Hunting: Another round of rich kids (brats to you and me) go house hunting with mummy and daddy’s money to find the perfect house. I shouldn’t like it, and yet I find myself hitting the sky + button every week.

Kerry Katona- The Next Chapter: Yes, I know I shouldn’t be advocating this show, but its great trash TV and perfect for just kicking back to with a glass of vino in one hand and the crunchy nut in the other.

Glee in New York!

Glee "Original Song" Copyright E4

I’ve just caught up with Monday’s fab episode of Glee, which saw our plucky show choir perform original songs and win Regionals. Yay!

One of the best episodes this season- it literally had it all. A fantastic Quinn v Rachel battle, Santana serenading Sam with Trouty Mouth (hilarious doesn’t even begin to cover it), Blaine and Kurt finally hooking up and of course, Sue punching a judge.

I cried for Rachel when Quinn confirmed her and Finn were an item once more, cheered when New Directions won the competition and bopped along when The Warblers rocked to Pink.

The altogether more exciting news however, is that our Glee kids have been spotted filming the show’s finale in New York!

I have seen Rachel in her signature beret and a technicolor coat, Santana rocking a skin tight stripey dress and Quinn in a bright orange trench, complete with baby blue dress.

This complete mismatch of clothes can only mean one thing…. They are taking over this city, baby!

I’ve also seen pics of Rachel and Finn appearing to re-unite, as said boy is seen presenting the lovely Berry with some flowers! Hurray!

So where does that leave Quinn? Well, the natural choice is putting her back with Sam, leaving Santana to openly come out as gay.

As for Brittany, I’m torn on whether I want her to stay with Artie or give things a go with Santana. Puck and Lauren however need to remain together forever- they are the best coupling on this show by a mile!

As the episodes start gearing up towards a fantastic finale, I am now super hyped for Nationals- how about you?!

Last Night's TV Reviewed

Great British Hairdresser: Copyright Channel 4

Sorry I have been neglectful of the blog peeps- I've been a busy bee! But I'm back now so lets get down to business... last night's TV!

Glee: As you may have seen from my Twitter explosion, I had a lot of love for last night's episode. Rachel finally ditching the baby fringe, Santana's cute pink bow headband and Brittany's entire wardrobe! Seriously, she should have quit the Cheerios ages ago if we get to see her off-duty style; one word- fierce.

Great British Hairdresser: Loved this episode- I swear James gets meaner every week, but that only makes for better entertainment! Lily Allen made an appearance this week, after James appeared in her show last week (confused?!) and promptly gave the stylists a grilling. The era inspired looks were amazing and what a great challenge for the week. I still dislike Daniel for his arrogance, whereas Helen is the front runner for me right now.

Oh My Glee...Thriller gave me thrills!

Glee rules Thriller!

Finally, an episode which made me happy to be a fan again! Not that I don’t love Glee with every fibre of my being, but you can’t deny this season has been a bit hit and miss so far.

Thankfully it’s right back on top thanks to last night’s amazing Superbowl episode. Highlights included:

Thriller/Head will Roll mash up: I may have cheated and watched this when it first aired in the States, but it was no less impressive seeing it last night. Great atmosphere, fantastic costumes, amazing vocals from Santana (she really can sing!) and dance moves that are sure to go down in Glee’s history as some of the best. Loved, loved, loved this song and to me, it’s the Don’t Stop Believing of this series.

Sue’s Rage: Give this woman every award going; Jane Lynch is a legend. Her portrayal of Sue going off the rails and trashing everywhere was hilarious, as was her new attempt to reach a Cheerio high by shooting Brittany out of a cannon. Her shameless emotional blackmail attempts to get the plucky cheerleader to indeed put herself in mortal peril were so funny to watch, but the clincher this week for me was Sue's response to how she was coping with her downfall- 'I've been drinking a lot of bleach' Lol.

Finn and Quinn Shocker: Again, I may have peaked at spoilers which hinted at this romance, but it was still quite a shock to see these two puckering up again. Finn’s reaction was probably the best… utter confusion mixed with pure lust. This is going to rumble for a few weeks me thinks.

Brittany: She deserves a mention all on her own for just being Brittany. Some stellar quotes this week from my favourite character- 'I don't want to die' followed by 'sucks to be you' were particular favourites. As for Sue's blackmail attempts with a cannon picture saying it missed Brittany- Heather's reaction was suburb. I'm so glad the three lead Cheerios ditched Sue for Glee in the end, it was one bit of slush I appreciated.

Karofsky reforming to type: I like how they have developed this character and putting the jocks with the Glee club was a great idea. Thankfully, Glee went against what it has become known for (slushy goodness) and had Karofsky turn his back on Finn and Glee right at the end, despite having a great time performing with them all.

Puck and Rachel Duet: There’s a real fan base out there for this couple and I’m a big fan after seeing how wasted Rachel and Finn were as pairing. As he gets closer to ex Quinn, surely a Puckberry reunion can’t be far off the mark?

Glee Gets Dirty! (Dancing)

New Directions compete at Sectionals

My heart ached just a little bit last night, as Finn and Rachel broke up amid cheating allegations and bad dress sense.

Ok, I made up the last part, but honestly Rachel, you need to assess your childish wardrobe if you want to keep a guy like Finn.

Yes, it's shallow that he lost his V card to the hottest cheerleader ever, but when you wear socks with shoes and animal cardigans all the time, well it's just a matter of time before he breaks your heart.

Maybe she's in need of a wardrobe overhaul, but that wouldn't change her annoying personality now would it?!

To be fair she's been very tolerable the past few weeks and I'm loving the new relationship she's developing with Kurt.

On a side note, Kurt is totally rocking that new Dalton prep boy look, but his star ain't burning so bright in this school, so you know he'll be back in New Directions by the end of the season.

My fave moment of last night's episode was the Brittany and Artie interaction. I would never ever have put them together as a couple, but they are sweetness personified.

The magic comb was ingenious as is Heather Morris' acting; she's fast becoming my new fave each week with her one liners!

I was not so keen on Sam and Quinn murdering Time of My Life though. The girl doesn't have a voice and Sam's lips threaten to eat him each time he opens his mouth. Urg!

Glee's Timewarp Video!

Yes I know it aired two days ago, but I've only just youtubed it to find the video and have promptly become addicted to it.

Seriously, I've played it about 10 times already tonight, so I thought it best to pass on the fabulousness.

I loved Monday's episode by the way, The Rocky Horror Show is one of my fave musicals and I thought the Glee cast were amazing in the roles.

Brittany and Quinn in particular shone for me- both nailing Columbia and Magenta's looks perfectly.

Sam as Rocky was disturbing, but Rachel was perfectly cast as Janet as was Mercedes in the role of Frank N. Furter.

Her Sweet Transvestite number was bang on the money, but it was very odd seeing most of the cast in latex and fishnets!

That aside, John Stamos was uber hot in top to toe leather- Emma is a lucky gal! Will isn't bad either, but he kills it for me with his cringey raps and crazy grin.

They've thoroughly redeemed themselves from the Grilled Cheesus episode in my eyes... roll on next week!

Monday Fashion Roundup!

Cheryl to become US X Factor star!

Cheryl lands US X Factor: This must be the worst kept secret ever and to be honest, I'm not sure if I even care anymore, but apparently she has been confirmed as a judge on the US X Factor. To celebrate Cheryl showed off a shorted hair style hidden under a beanie, finished off with a pair of massive sunglasses. Humm, do you think she was trying to look unaffected by the news?!

Jason gets Bitchy:
That should be bitchier really. I've never been able to stand his comments, which are frankly just plain rude. I'm pretty proud of Karen for standing up to him and calling him on his nastiness. As for his stint as a fashion expert, I still to this day don't know how he landed that gig!

Peaches calls Cameron fit: I had to chuckle at this one, Peaches Geldof has apparently admitted she's got a crush on Ed Miliband. Oh and she thinks David Cameron is pretty fit also... who wants to bet he tries to get her aboard some young people campaign in the next few months?!

All the G's: Glee and Gossip Girl are on tonight- with Glee sampling the delights of Rocky Horror! GG is actually on in the UK on wed, however it's airing a must see episode in the states tonight! Woo. I must start streaming now...

NTAs Live: My Thoughts!

Is it me or do all the winners of the NTA's not look that pleased?!

Also, since when did it become the Eastenders show? Seriously they win everything, even when they aren't the most deserving of winners!

that said, loved Lacey Turner's red barnet teamed with elegant black puffball dress, she just wore to accept her award.

Louis Spence is a legend in spandex, nobody can deny that and The Inbetweeners managed to beat Glee, so really a great couple of minutes have just gone by.

Accept for Waterloo Road triumphing over Doctor Who and the uber yummy Sherlock, which in itself was a total travesty.

More from me when the ads are over!

Glee? Not so much last night…

Did you enjoy Glee last night?

I got what the producers were trying to do, really I did, but I was really depressed by last night’s Glee.

This coming from its super-duper number one fan as well, so you know when I start criticising the show which gave us the most amazing Britney tribute last week, it’s a sign of concern.

Ok, so I doubt Ryan Murphy will be rattled to hear I wasn’t a fan of the episode, but generally- am I alone in thinking last night was just too depressing and maybe, just maybe, a tad too religious?

The boyf, who religiously (no pun intended) watches Glee every week with me, switched off half way through to read a maths book, now if that’s not a sign that the show is going off at the deep end, then I don’t know what is!

Yes, I’m exaggerating- I’m sure next week the show will be back to its Glee-ful best, especially seeing as Rocky Horror and Michael Jackson songs are coming up later in the season!

On a positive side to this episode, Brittany ’s Miley Cyrus comment was awesome, as was Rachel’s cute tartan poncho and sunshine checked summer dress; she really shows how baby dressing is done well…

Till next time…

Blue Monday: 5 things to make you smile!

Glee is on tonight: Now that's a reason to smile!

Apparently today is blue Monday, which basically means we’re all fed up, in debt and grumpy…which to me is just a normal Monday!

The only difference is that they’ve tagged on the fact that the Christmas festivities are now a distant memory to add to our woes.

Well, I don’t know whether today is any different from any other Monday, but in case you really are feeling blue, here are five fashionable reasons to make you smile…

1. Glee:
Tonight is a Britney Spears themed episode, with an appearance from the great lady herself. I literally can't wait...

2. Spring collections are coming: I'm already fed up of the sales and the drab offerings which are left, so thank god little bits of spring fashion are filtering through.

3. Fashion Week is under a month away, if that's not a reason to crack open the bubbly and grin like a maniac, I don't know what is!

4. Cheryl Cole may be leaving the UK X Factor:
Ok, this is a tad mean but I can't be the only one fed up of her can I? Yes, less fashion to pour over if she moves to the US, but after the last season, to be honest she's already peaked.

5. Tool Academy is on: OMG, this is the ultimate in trash TV. In fact if you read my tweets last week, you would know exactly how much I loathed and loved this programme in equal measure. Do not miss!

Glee: Bigger, better and more Gleeful than ever!

Glee is back: Sunshine is my new fave!

I didn’t think it was possible to love Glee more than I already did, but last night’s season opener was such a triumph, I’m literally counting down the hours until the next episode...

Finn looked hotter than ever, Santana got some laughs with her new fake boobs, Brittany just excelled at being Brittany and the triumphant return of Quinn to head Cheerio were all favourable highlights.

Add into the mix a super annoying Rachel and Sue Sylvester back to her scheming best with Will (more on that unlikely pairing later) and Glee is sure to break all ratings records for S2.

First things first though- how much weight has Lea Michelle lost? I'm loving the new fringe and less 'cutesy' wardrobe (although socks and loafers will never work Rachel, take note) but to me she's looking a bit too skinny.

Maybe that's why she was so intimidated by newcomer, Sunshine. Not only can this gal belt a tune ('Listen' was utterly spellbinding and 'Telephone' was just plain hilarious) but she can also work the Geek chick look to perfection.

Huge glasses, berets, stripy socks and cute pinafores; she's basically a cuter version of Rachel and much more likable.

Speaking of likable characters, Tina and Mike paired up was a surprising twist for the start of S2 and I have high hopes for seeing more of his abs as we go on... yum.

New character Sam made little impression on me though, despite the Bieber haircut, killer bod and OMG Angelina lips- hilariously noticed by Puck may I add. Maybe he'll grow on me, but right now I could do without the distraction!

The short lived friendship between Will and Sue was entertaining for a while, but I kept wanting her to pick on his hair, his enthusiasm, his annoying habit of always doing the right thing, anything which would make me LOL basically.

Thankfully the two are already back at war, just in time for the Britney themed episode that's to air next week. I've seen the previews, I've read the reviews and yes Glee fans, it really is that good.

Till next time...

Glee is back!

Glee Returns

Omg Glee is back tonight and I for one am uber excited for many reasons.

Firstly, the trailer they have been running for the past few weeks features a new nemesis for Sue, A Britney tribute and Kurt rocking a PVC mac, which unfortunately doesn’t shield him from being slushied. Brilliant.

Normally I watch US shows when they air in America, but not Glee, oh no- I have waited just like you to see the brand spanking new series.

Partly because I twigged late that it had already begun its second run in the States and partly because I wanted to wait...

Ok, no it was the first reason only- I had missed the starting block and hate catching up mid-way through.

So what’s to come? Well, we can expect cameos from Gwyneth Paltrow and Britney Spears herself in the first half of the series alone.

Ahh, think of all the fashion I will have to review… oh it’s a tough life. Full rundown tomorrow!

Fashion Flash: Susan Boyle to appear in Glee?!

Could Susan Boyle soon be joining our Gleeks?

OMG- the rumours that were circulating a few months back may actually be true; Susan Boyle is all set to appear in Glee as, wait for it, a dinner lady.

I can totally see Kurt taking her to one side and giving her a fabulous make-over, while unleashing her inner talent as a superdooper singer!

The episode, said to be screened at Christmas is also set to feature songs by Sir Paul McCartney too. Talk about a chance opportunity- here’s what I see happening…

Sir Paul is walking down the hall at McKinley high, you know as you do, when wait, he hears the voice of a (hairy) angel and decides to make her the next big thing!

Susan then flies off into the sunset to become a major star, leaving her dowdy dinner lady days behind her and thanking Kurt for believing in her.

Yes, I think that definitely has potential- Ryan Murphy, you know where I am if you need me for anymore creative input :)
