After what seems like an eternity, the actors who will portray the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have been announced... and well, no-one is entirely sure who they are.
Well, to be fair after this announcement we can expect multiple news stories and bio's to pop up about the two, so by tomorrow we will be experts in all things Charlie Hunnam and Dakota Johnson.
Author of the erotic fiction, EL James broke the news to her Twitter followers today after months of speculation about who would play her creations in bestselling trilogy, Fifty Shades of Grey.
If you have no idea what I'm on about, you must have been living under a rock for the last 18 months. This piece of literature went global with women everywhere proudly reading their copy on public transport, despite the somewhat racy content!
I got into it pretty late, but can't deny how damn addictive reading it made, so the news that a movie was to follow had me and everyone else in a frenzy in no time.
The two young cast members certainly don't look like my Ana and Christian, but maybe that is a good thing. She's pretty, innocent looking and has already bared her bum in The Social Network, so I'm sure she'll be fine.
What's more certain is that everyone will be clocking her every move in the lead up, during and post production of the movie, so don't be surprised if you see her popping up in random places or gracing the FROW with her fashionable presence any time soon.

Titanic lives up to the hype!

The man behind Downton Abbey had quite a lot to live up to with his mini drama version of Titanic and tonight, as part one finished in a very dramatic fashion, I'd say he has another massive hit on his hands.
Not quite as successful as Downton mind, but a success nonetheless. It was like (as I pointed out on Twitter) a who's who of actors on tonight's debut and I liked the fact that it moved along at a nice pace rather than trying to string it out for four installments.
That said, I'm not quite sure I like the idea of going back in time next week to a different perspective of the voyage, but hey, it's a period drama and I'm a sucker for one of those.
The only family to really make an impression in this episode was Lord Manton, the very stuffy Lady Manton and their rebellious teenage daughter who has fallen for, very bloody quickly, a handsome American chap.
It totally ruined my prediction of her ditching him for the Italian Waiter who winked at her. I thought we were looking at another Leo and Kate type pairing, but annoyingly they made quite the adorable couple and I'm now rooting for them both to make it through.
Other than that, I'll admit I struggled to really tap into the other characters. There was a woman who was 'shamed' for stepping out with a man when she wasn't married, a crazy old bag who loved her dog and a 2nd class couple who were shown into 1st class for the afternoon but actually hated their 1st class companions.
I did pick up on some tension between two of the servants working for said Lord and Lady- perhaps a romance brewing there, or maybe complete hatred. Who knows, we have three more installments to go.
The fashion was divine and the eye to detail sublime- I really can't wait for next week. Bring it on!

The Royal Wedding: Verdict
Well, the build up was immense and I think the hype reached fever pitch once Kate Middleton arrived at Westminster Abbey, but what did you think of the ceremony?
I loved it, got a bit bored with some of the readings in the middle, but enjoyed the little side glances William and Kate kept giving each other.
As for the little slip up with the wedding ring not going on, well I doubt anyone noticed it really... apart from around 2 billion on Twitter.
That just made them all the more adorable for me and apparently Wills told Kate she looked beautiful when she reached him at the alter. Aww!
Harry also is reported to have said to Wills 'Wait till you see her!' which just shows how close they all are.
Now we're approaching the end of the cermony, they are offically man and wife and I am exhausted! I'm off to pop the champers now and will be back reporting in a bit!

Paula Reed on BBC talks fashion
Paula Reed from Grazia looks amazing in her dress choice for today, and she hates facinators! How v. modern!
Her money is on McQueen, but didn't openly address the Sarah Burton rumour which exploded on Twitter last night.
However, she reckons there are still others in the running Sophie Cranston among others.
Apparently the Beckhams have just arrived...Keep you posted!

Last Night's TV Reviewed

Sorry I have been neglectful of the blog peeps- I've been a busy bee! But I'm back now so lets get down to business... last night's TV!
Glee: As you may have seen from my Twitter explosion, I had a lot of love for last night's episode. Rachel finally ditching the baby fringe, Santana's cute pink bow headband and Brittany's entire wardrobe! Seriously, she should have quit the Cheerios ages ago if we get to see her off-duty style; one word- fierce.
Great British Hairdresser: Loved this episode- I swear James gets meaner every week, but that only makes for better entertainment! Lily Allen made an appearance this week, after James appeared in her show last week (confused?!) and promptly gave the stylists a grilling. The era inspired looks were amazing and what a great challenge for the week. I still dislike Daniel for his arrogance, whereas Helen is the front runner for me right now.

OMG have you seen this?!
A friend tweeted me this article earlier today and two things came to me: one- I like that pink jumper and two- she is hot!
Then I read on to find that she is actually a he. Seriosuly OMG, that man is hotter than more female models!
Andrej Pejic is his name in case you're wondering and he is 19. Go nuts!

Big Fat Gypsy Weddings: A spray tan too far?

Blimey, people are a bit miffed about last night's BFGW aren't they?!
Personally I loved it; it had everything packed into that hour including the mother of all wedding dresses- a pink meringue which lit up at night and included moving butterflies on the bust. Brilliant!
What everyone's getting worked up at however is the little girl getting a spray tan at the tender age of six.
I'll admit, that's damn young- but it's not like it was against her will and it was for a special occasion.
Now before you all shout me down, just think what you were like when you were younger. I definitely tried on more make-up than I should of and I definitely wore clothes which were inappropriate, so what's the difference here?
She doesn't wear make-up every day, nor does she go for spray tans and generally no, she doesn't wear revealing clothes from what I saw.
I'll agree the dancing outfits and the moves were disturbing- those are the kind of dances you see by drunken ladies on the pull, not by young girls at a tea party.
For sheer entertainment and a really fascinating insight into traveller life, this programme is amazing and a real hit with me and half of Twitter if the tweets last night are anything to go by!
It's all about the OTT weddings for me, how about you?

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman: Good or Bad?
I'm not sure about this piece of casting, as I tweeted last night, but I do love Anne and she's shown she's pretty darn versatile over the past few years, so who knows it may work!
Either way, the role of Catwoman could really propel Anne into even further super stardom or become her first stinker of a film.
Halle Berry's Catwoman was widely panned, but Michelle Pfeiffer's take on the villain was really sinister, so I think it could go either way with Anne.
The Dark Knight Rises is due for release in the US in 2012, but for me, nothing could top the Dark Knight as a film masterpiece.
Heath Ledger's Joker combined with a great musical score was phenomenal- I think they'll have a hard time following it.
Soo.. until we see pics of Anne on set, thoughts please!

X Factor: Most uncomfortable viewing ever?!

So, that was uncomfortable last night. Wagner through yet again, Cheryl refusing to vote and er, Katie collapsing on the floor literally begging to stay in.
Yes, it's the latter which I'm referring to as being the most cringey thing I've viewed in the past year, and don't forget I watch Wagner perform each week!
Katie's apparent breakdown saw her forget the words, swear and sink to her knees pleading for the judges to not give up on her.
Desperate doesn't even begin to cover it, with Twitter going mad condemning her antics. I loved her dress, though; never let it be said I don't give a compliment where it is due.
Anyway it worked, she was saved to massive boos while Trayc was sent home. She who finally got her styling right and could sing the best, was booted off in favour of quirky/unstable Katie.
World gone mad me thinks. Anyway, onto the fashion on the night and Dannii once again came up trumps.
Rocking a black corseted dress from Dolce & Gabbana she looked stunning, while Cheryl got it oh- so wrong (again) in a short gold number, which appeared to be missing half a shoulder.
Yes, yes I know it was 'fashion' but come on pet, you're the style guru we look to, and if you can't make it work, then what hope do we have?!
Here's to next week and what Katie will pull to try and stay in once again...

Victoria Beckham makes Twitter fashion faux pas!

It happens to the best of us, but when you are world famous and the toast of the fashion scene, it's a wee bit embarrassing to misspell another designer's name on Twitter.
Allow me to elaborate, dear readers. Victoria Beckham tweeted a few hours ago that she was wearing her Mui Mui's.
Now if you think I've just plucked two made up words out of mid air, then this will mean nothing to you, but to those in the know, VB has done a boo boo.
But, seeing that she's a good laugh she quickly pointed out her mistake to her 100,000+ followers and said: 'Ooops!! I am wearing MIU MIU shoes!! #typingtoofast VB x'
Don't worry Victoria, we've all done it and it makes you human, which has probably just won you another 1000 followers.

VB joins Twitter!

If I had to pick one celeb to idolise to the point of obsession it would be Victoria Beckham.
She's most definitely had her fair share of stick in the past, but now she's a celebrated fashion designer world over, well, people have started to really take notice of VB.
So much so, that the minute she joins Twitter, it's considered news. So why am I blogging about it here then?
Why because of her first tweet of course- 'The airport is my runway!!!' What a fantastic thing to say.
No-one does airport chic quite like VB; sky high Louboutins, a tailored jacket and a pair of tiny denim hotpants was her outfit of choice when she landed at Heathrow.
She is someone I will most definitely be following closely, especially when she has someone like Eva Longoria welcoming her to the Twitter scene!
