Oh My Glee...Thriller gave me thrills!

Glee rules Thriller!

Finally, an episode which made me happy to be a fan again! Not that I don’t love Glee with every fibre of my being, but you can’t deny this season has been a bit hit and miss so far.

Thankfully it’s right back on top thanks to last night’s amazing Superbowl episode. Highlights included:

Thriller/Head will Roll mash up: I may have cheated and watched this when it first aired in the States, but it was no less impressive seeing it last night. Great atmosphere, fantastic costumes, amazing vocals from Santana (she really can sing!) and dance moves that are sure to go down in Glee’s history as some of the best. Loved, loved, loved this song and to me, it’s the Don’t Stop Believing of this series.

Sue’s Rage: Give this woman every award going; Jane Lynch is a legend. Her portrayal of Sue going off the rails and trashing everywhere was hilarious, as was her new attempt to reach a Cheerio high by shooting Brittany out of a cannon. Her shameless emotional blackmail attempts to get the plucky cheerleader to indeed put herself in mortal peril were so funny to watch, but the clincher this week for me was Sue's response to how she was coping with her downfall- 'I've been drinking a lot of bleach' Lol.

Finn and Quinn Shocker: Again, I may have peaked at spoilers which hinted at this romance, but it was still quite a shock to see these two puckering up again. Finn’s reaction was probably the best… utter confusion mixed with pure lust. This is going to rumble for a few weeks me thinks.

Brittany: She deserves a mention all on her own for just being Brittany. Some stellar quotes this week from my favourite character- 'I don't want to die' followed by 'sucks to be you' were particular favourites. As for Sue's blackmail attempts with a cannon picture saying it missed Brittany- Heather's reaction was suburb. I'm so glad the three lead Cheerios ditched Sue for Glee in the end, it was one bit of slush I appreciated.

Karofsky reforming to type: I like how they have developed this character and putting the jocks with the Glee club was a great idea. Thankfully, Glee went against what it has become known for (slushy goodness) and had Karofsky turn his back on Finn and Glee right at the end, despite having a great time performing with them all.

Puck and Rachel Duet: There’s a real fan base out there for this couple and I’m a big fan after seeing how wasted Rachel and Finn were as pairing. As he gets closer to ex Quinn, surely a Puckberry reunion can’t be far off the mark?

Glee Gets Dirty! (Dancing)

New Directions compete at Sectionals

My heart ached just a little bit last night, as Finn and Rachel broke up amid cheating allegations and bad dress sense.

Ok, I made up the last part, but honestly Rachel, you need to assess your childish wardrobe if you want to keep a guy like Finn.

Yes, it's shallow that he lost his V card to the hottest cheerleader ever, but when you wear socks with shoes and animal cardigans all the time, well it's just a matter of time before he breaks your heart.

Maybe she's in need of a wardrobe overhaul, but that wouldn't change her annoying personality now would it?!

To be fair she's been very tolerable the past few weeks and I'm loving the new relationship she's developing with Kurt.

On a side note, Kurt is totally rocking that new Dalton prep boy look, but his star ain't burning so bright in this school, so you know he'll be back in New Directions by the end of the season.

My fave moment of last night's episode was the Brittany and Artie interaction. I would never ever have put them together as a couple, but they are sweetness personified.

The magic comb was ingenious as is Heather Morris' acting; she's fast becoming my new fave each week with her one liners!

I was not so keen on Sam and Quinn murdering Time of My Life though. The girl doesn't have a voice and Sam's lips threaten to eat him each time he opens his mouth. Urg!

Glee? Not so much last night…

Did you enjoy Glee last night?

I got what the producers were trying to do, really I did, but I was really depressed by last night’s Glee.

This coming from its super-duper number one fan as well, so you know when I start criticising the show which gave us the most amazing Britney tribute last week, it’s a sign of concern.

Ok, so I doubt Ryan Murphy will be rattled to hear I wasn’t a fan of the episode, but generally- am I alone in thinking last night was just too depressing and maybe, just maybe, a tad too religious?

The boyf, who religiously (no pun intended) watches Glee every week with me, switched off half way through to read a maths book, now if that’s not a sign that the show is going off at the deep end, then I don’t know what is!

Yes, I’m exaggerating- I’m sure next week the show will be back to its Glee-ful best, especially seeing as Rocky Horror and Michael Jackson songs are coming up later in the season!

On a positive side to this episode, Brittany ’s Miley Cyrus comment was awesome, as was Rachel’s cute tartan poncho and sunshine checked summer dress; she really shows how baby dressing is done well…

Till next time…

Glee: Bigger, better and more Gleeful than ever!

Glee is back: Sunshine is my new fave!

I didn’t think it was possible to love Glee more than I already did, but last night’s season opener was such a triumph, I’m literally counting down the hours until the next episode...

Finn looked hotter than ever, Santana got some laughs with her new fake boobs, Brittany just excelled at being Brittany and the triumphant return of Quinn to head Cheerio were all favourable highlights.

Add into the mix a super annoying Rachel and Sue Sylvester back to her scheming best with Will (more on that unlikely pairing later) and Glee is sure to break all ratings records for S2.

First things first though- how much weight has Lea Michelle lost? I'm loving the new fringe and less 'cutesy' wardrobe (although socks and loafers will never work Rachel, take note) but to me she's looking a bit too skinny.

Maybe that's why she was so intimidated by newcomer, Sunshine. Not only can this gal belt a tune ('Listen' was utterly spellbinding and 'Telephone' was just plain hilarious) but she can also work the Geek chick look to perfection.

Huge glasses, berets, stripy socks and cute pinafores; she's basically a cuter version of Rachel and much more likable.

Speaking of likable characters, Tina and Mike paired up was a surprising twist for the start of S2 and I have high hopes for seeing more of his abs as we go on... yum.

New character Sam made little impression on me though, despite the Bieber haircut, killer bod and OMG Angelina lips- hilariously noticed by Puck may I add. Maybe he'll grow on me, but right now I could do without the distraction!

The short lived friendship between Will and Sue was entertaining for a while, but I kept wanting her to pick on his hair, his enthusiasm, his annoying habit of always doing the right thing, anything which would make me LOL basically.

Thankfully the two are already back at war, just in time for the Britney themed episode that's to air next week. I've seen the previews, I've read the reviews and yes Glee fans, it really is that good.

Till next time...
