Gossip Girl: Serena goes back to her skanky roots...
Oh no she DIDN'T!!! After the unforgivable act in season one, you seriously thought Serena would have learnt from her past indiscretions and not sleep with her best friend's boyfriend AGAIN.
But no, if the new promo is accurate then Dan (shedding his good guy image here and now on my hit list) succumbs to her charms and they have sex in a bar.
Pretty much a re run of her and Nate- in fact I think it's even the same bar- this is the only part of me which makes me think it could be a dream, which is what fans seem to be favouring.
I have a horrible feeling that this isn't a dream and it does actually happen. Therefore ruining Serena and Blair's friendship forever, totally rewriting Dan's character and giving Blair the easy way out into Chuck's waiting arms.
Don't get me wrong, I love Chair but I have been a fan of Dair for the past year and this is where my loyalty currently lies. Yes, they have been a bit dull of late, but if Dan seriously falls for Serena's meddling, then he is not the guy I thought he was.
Yes, it is a TV show, but I have invested 5 GOD DAMN YEARS in this TV show and if they continue to destroy these characters then I will never get over it. OK, I will get over it eventually, but in the short term I'm furious about this latest development.
Even more so than the travesty that was Chuck deflowering Jenny in Season 3- that really pissed off the fans, but GG went there and I think they will go there again. Sigh.

Gossip Girl to end after Season 6?
Well, we all knew this day was coming GG fans- the greatest show on earth will be ending after a 'short' season 6 according to reports this morning.
Apparently it's down to falling ratings, blamed by lack of original storylines (the Blair/Chucksaga anyone?!) which has caused its downfall. To be fair though I never thought it would get to five seasons, so to be commissioned for a sixth is pretty good going.
It's yet to be confirmed but whispers are rife that the sixth and final season will be shortened, just as One Tree Hill was in their final season.
Although GG has been uneven since season 1 really, it's the shows characters that have kept it alive rather than the storylines. We all want to be Serena, we all think Blair is fabulous, we all want to tame Chuck, date Nate and have a fling with Dan- in other words it is the perfect form of escapism that we need in these darks times!
With Season 5 due to wrap up in the next few months, we can safely assume that Blair and Dan will break up in time to reunite Chair and Derena in time for the finale season, so the world will be as it should.
I predict a joint wedding between the shows 2 major couples, or certainly it will be Chair who ties the knot by the end of Season 6- the fans deserve hat kind of payoff!
Anyway, what do you think will happen, and do you think they will run for another season?

Gossip Girl S5: OMG Moments!
I have been unusually quiet about my favourite show ever. Here we are in the home stretch of S5 of Gossip Girl and I have barely made a comment about how crazy it has been this year.
Well, no more dear readers! Here are my top 5 OMG moments so far in Season 5 of, to borrow the phrase from NY Magazine, the greatest show of our time...
Ooooh Nate: Copyright The CW
5. Nate as the big man: Pair Nate with Blair and you have fireworks, pair Nate with Serena and you have an impossibly beautiful couple on screen. Pair him with a guest star and we all get pretty bored pretty fast, so thank god this year they decided to give him a non-girl related storyline. Ok, so he had to go through getting it on with Liz Hurley in order to get to Editor of the NY Spectator and he's currently sleeping with Serena's cousin, but hey- he has never looked fitter!
4. GG is Georgina: Well, that was what we were lead to believe at the end of the 100th episode, which went down as one of the biggest surprises in GG history. Shame they went and blew it the week after by revealing she just hacked into Gossip Girl and was only pretending to be her. Having Whoregina back on a more permanent, trouble causing basis was nice, although as a long term star of the show, there is only so much crazy to go around.
3. Dan's rise and fall from fame: Suspending our belief just for one moment that Dan Humphrey could get to the top of the NY book charts for one moment and then is casually dumped the next was a great plot development for the underdog this season. Loved that he sacrificed his friends for fame, after working so hard for five years to actually fight his way in and not be deemed an outsider. Bless him that his current storyline will involve him being bad in bed with Blair as well- turns out you can't have it all Humphrey.
Blair and Louis: Copyright The CW
2. The Royal Wedding of the decade/Louis being a total ass: Wow this was an episode and a half to kick off 2012 in style. Did I see all the twists and turns coming? Hell no and that was half the fun. Chuck showing up to stop the wedding after Eleanor came to fetch him, Serena finally telling Dan how she felt, Georgina ruining the wedding and of course, Louis being revealed as the ultimate villain of the piece. I'm really sad it came to this, but after a whole season of him realising Blair loves Chuck, the worm finally turned and he totally screwed Blair over by marrying her and then heartlessly revealing he no longer has feelings for her. I actually cried at that part. Boo!

1. Dan and Blair: This has been my favourite storyline of the past year- two total opposites with great chemistry and banter that could rival the greats finally getting together. Their crazy airport dash after the wedding was fantastic, as was Blair finally realising what a great friend Dan was. What followed was Dan taking a chance and actually making a move and Blair surrendering to the fact that she had feelings for her BFF's former lover. Now they are officially together and are going to experience some sack troubles, it's sad to think they may not make it through to the end of the season. Of course, that does lead the way for a Chuck and Blair reunion!

OMG Gossip Girl: Blair's Wedding Dress!!

Oh my. A runaway bride in couture and a tiara so magnificent it would light up a room? It can only be Blair getting married in Gossip Girl.
This week the first shots of the gorgeous Leighton Meester surfaced wearing a beautiful strapless gown and running, what looked like, away from her wedding to Prince Louis.
First things first though, let us size up the dress. Full marks for this, it is very very Blair. Although I love the extensions and free waves, I have to admit, I would have thought Blair would have gone for an elegant up do though.
The make-up is perfection (I may go for something similar myself on my wedding!) as were the accompanying jewels. Diamond earrings, a diamond choker (which looks suspiciously like the necklace Chuck gave her on her 17th birthday!) and of course that HUGE sparkler.
Her tiara is the perfect finishing touch as well- fit for a royal princess, that is if she actually goes through with her wedding to the most boring man ever.
Will she become the runaway bride like the pictures suggest, will she end up with Chuck like everyone is hoping, or will she run straight into the arms of her unlikely hero, Dan?
Answers on a postcard please...

Gossip Girl Returns...5 Questions need answering!

Ok so Gossip Girl has already been airing in the US for the past three weeks, but finally it is due to hit the UK shores next week...Yay!
I'll pretend I know nothing which has gone on so far and pose the following few questions to those who haven't been secretly peaking at reviews...
1. Who is Pregnant? Serena, Blair, Dorota, Charlie or Eleanor, that is the short list of options and I know who I would have money on! The reveal comes at the end of episode 1, so you don't have long to wait.
2. Why does Chuck have a dog? The Bass man has been pictured carrying around a pooch, but why oh why? Hint, Dan is at fault for this plot development and it is all part of a bigger plan.
3. What will happen with Dan's book? After Vanessa totally sold out her BFF and former lover out of spite, will Dan come forward and admit he is the one behind the Number 1 bestseller? Oh you betcha...
4. Who is Nate smooching? Liz Hurley, the ultimate cougar is guest starring this season and whore number 1 hooks up with her in the first episode. Does she have a dark side, oh yes and it involves Nate in a big way.
5. Who is Ivy? Well last season it was revealed that Charlie wasn't really Charlie and was in fact an actress named Ivy. In the first episode of the new series, it's revealed that Ivy is working as a waitress in LA and runs into a certain blonde cousin of hers, who is also in LA for the summer. Fireworks ensue!

5 things I'd like to see on the Gossip Girl finale...

It’s been an interesting season on Gossip Girl. From the amazing two part opener in Paris, to Chuck’s meltdown (part two) to where we are now- Blair about to be torched on top of a building, I’m sure you’ll agree it has been eventful!
As an avid fan of the show, here are my thoughts on what I’d like to see happen in the finale of series four...
1. Dan and Blair revisited: I don’t know about you, but I feel mighty short changed by this relationship. After one kiss (the other one didn’t count!) they decided enough was enough and now Dan is moving on with Charlie while Blair is torn between The Prince and Chuck. Yawn. To have Blair go to Dan after dumping both Louis and Chuck would be unexpected and give season five somewhere to go... you know you want it just a little bit as well!
2. Let the rumours about Charlie be true: Ok, so the latest leak going around the internet is that Charlie isn’t really Charlie at all. She’s an actress hired by Carole to get her hands on the Rhodes Trust fund and everything we’ve seen so far is all an act! Ahh so that explains why she is a crazy lady! Just for the sheer madness, I would love this to be true.
3. Prince Louis turns out to be OK: The guy has literally rode into town in his shiny limo with Blair’s lost shoe- how can they then turn him into the bad guy?! Blair has never had a decent love interest, so please producers, whatever she chooses- keep Louis as nice as he has been and one day bring him back to pursue Blair in a much more underhanded Chuck-like way.
4. Nate to throw his hat in for Blair’s heart: Then Serena really would be in Blair’s shadow! Lol ok, this would just be fun to see and let’s be honest, Nate is only really interesting when you pair him with Blair. Remember her trying to set him up with Epperley? Exactly, we learnt that he was selfish in bed and loved the Sound of Music. Hilarious.
5. Serena and Vanessa to realise their love for each other: Hehe, this made me laugh writing it- I hope it makes you laugh reading it. While Vanessa’s uselessness has been evident from series one, Serena has really bored me this season- how to fix things, put the two together and give the lads a treat!
Let me know your thoughts...

Gossip Girl Review: I'm Team Blouis from now on!

OMG... I know Gossip Girl are famous for these moments, but really last night's episode was jaw-droppingly good.
Serena fulfilled her destiny of becoming a back stabbing biatch, Nate finally turned his back on a booze addled Chuck and oh, Chuck- this is where it all fell down spectacularly.
I'm not really sure where I stand on this character anymore, but what I do know is that I don't want to see him with Blair for a very long time, and dare I say it, maybe never again.
Embarrassing her in public, attacking her like a man possessed and then claiming her like a possession had me covering my eyes and shaking my head. (Yes, I know I'm dramatic!)

So yes, I am now on Team Blouis! That's Blair and Louis to you non GG followers. He's the prince who has slowly won me over in the past two episodes and had me cheering when he went down on one knee.
After the writers have pretty much abandoned Dair, this is my new ship, which will undoubtedly fall apart in the last few episodes, as so many ill conceived finales do.
Leave Blair and Louis together and Chair fans will be up in arms (although I bet some have been swayed by Chuck's behaviour last night) or give Dair a chance to see if Dan and Blair could ever make the Princess and the Pauper story work.
With Jack Bass returning next week and threatening to topple Chuck over the edge (I have seen him being dragged off in a restraining jacket, no less) I think we are building to an uber dramatic climax.
On a quick side note- I am loving Charlie now it has been revealed she isn't quite so cutsie and innocent as first made out. After sending Vanessa on her way, I'm thinking Dan may be in serious trouble if she carries on her bunny boiling antics!
And could Blair's royal dresses get any more beautiful? That sequined Jenny Packham was just breathtaking... just think what her wedding dress would be like if storyline's followed through and she did indeed marry the prince?!
Check out next week's promo here...

Gossip Girl: I’m still daring to Dair!

For the first time in its four season history, I didn’t watch a sneak peak of Gossip Girl after it aired in America on Monday.
No, I waited and sat down yesterday with ITV2, as the average fan would do and watched it.
OMG is all I have to say. After last week’s slow offering, this episode totally stepped up the pace with Prince Louis arriving, Dan finally realising he loved Blair (yes!) and Serena getting a Royal smackdown by Blair for being such a biatch.
I really hated her in this episode, despite the hot pink Marchesa dress she wore, which was to die for I'll admit.
She came across as spoilt and selfish, which to be honest is always how she has been, but in the scene where she confronted D & B, it really sunk in how childish she is.
Randomly dialling a fling in France for info on Louis to bring Blair down was a very low thing to do, but man she does work the messy up-do well!
Blair’s pink prom dress and gorgeous up-do came a close second for best outfit on this episode, while Charlie and Vanessa tied for worst dressed last night.
Charlie, I know you’re new to the UES but honestly sheer black tights with a pink clingy dress and lank hair?! No! I’m just waiting for Serena to step in with a hot girl makeover, which will make Dan lose control of his senses once and for all.
Yes, I see that coming like so many other people do. He’s looking fit this season and I genuinely love the pairing with Blair. They spark off each other, and to see this developed in Season 5 would be amazing.
I’m done with Chair for now. Endgame for Season 6-fine. But now, let Blair get engaged to her Prince, let Serena try and ruin her, let Blair break it off and run to Dan and let Chuck stew with his Harry Winston engagement ring.
That’s how I think the season should end in three episodes time- what do you think?
