Gossip Girl Returns...5 Questions need answering!

Ok so Gossip Girl has already been airing in the US for the past three weeks, but finally it is due to hit the UK shores next week...Yay!

I'll pretend I know nothing which has gone on so far and pose the following few questions to those who haven't been secretly peaking at reviews...

1. Who is Pregnant? Serena, Blair, Dorota, Charlie or Eleanor, that is the short list of options and I know who I would have money on! The reveal comes at the end of episode 1, so you don't have long to wait.

2. Why does Chuck have a dog? The Bass man has been pictured carrying around a pooch, but why oh why? Hint, Dan is at fault for this plot development and it is all part of a bigger plan.

3. What will happen with Dan's book? After Vanessa totally sold out her BFF and former lover out of spite, will Dan come forward and admit he is the one behind the Number 1 bestseller? Oh you betcha...

4. Who is Nate smooching? Liz Hurley, the ultimate cougar is guest starring this season and whore number 1 hooks up with her in the first episode. Does she have a dark side, oh yes and it involves Nate in a big way.

5. Who is Ivy? Well last season it was revealed that Charlie wasn't really Charlie and was in fact an actress named Ivy. In the first episode of the new series, it's revealed that Ivy is working as a waitress in LA and runs into a certain blonde cousin of hers, who is also in LA for the summer. Fireworks ensue!

Gossip Girl Finale: Chair & Blouis Shocker!

Well, knock me down with a feather- half of what was rumoured on the Internet actually turned out to be true on last night’s GG finale.

I know some things are soooo predictable, but the twists and turns that have kept on coming this season meant that literally anything could have happened in the explosive finale.

Things which surprised me…

Blair and Louis actually staying together, spesh after the Chair incident! I’ll admit, I didn’t know which way I wanted this to go. Choose Louis and I’d be sad for Chuck, Choose Chuck and I’d feel sorry for Louis. This way, I guess they managed to please everyone. Still… it doesn’t sit right with me that she cheated on the Prince. Not cool B.

Vanessa completely turning on Dan: She’s had her moments- I can’t think of any offhand- but last night she finally did the decent thing and left us all alone! Of course having Dan’s cheques redirected to her for his published book meant she left with no dignity or fans whatsoever, but still… girl has finally got the hint.

Serena having an epiphany: I doubt she even knows how to spell it or what one is, but hey she had one and now wants to learn to be less selfish. Finding herself in sunnier climes and getting cast in a movie will no doubt make her less superficial… *rolls eyes*

Pregnancy Test: Well…. This was definitely unexpected. The obvious choice would be Blair and the obvious father would be Louis… wouldn’t it?! Haha no, lets be honest this will be what stops B marrying Louis- she’s carrying Chuck’s baby!

Things which I expected…

The Roof Drama: Russell not actually harming Blair and the whole hostage situation resolved in like five mins. Snore!

Charlie not being Charlie: I wasn’t sure where to put this considering I believed this to be a false rumour, with a slight amount of credibility, but hey I can’t say I was shocked when it was revealed now can I?!

Charlie and Georgie hook-up: No, not like that! But two crazy bitches teaming up seems like pure gold for season five, especially if Blair does a runner to Monaco and gets married next series- there’s going to be a vacancy!

Dan still has feelings for Blair: I knew there were feelings still lingering! Thank god for that- Blair needs her friendship with Dan to take the edge of her mature decision to ditch Chuck once and for all. Oh and I'm really looking forward to seeing how Dan plays down his love for the future Queen of Monaco!

Roll on Season 5…

Gossip Girl Review: I'm Team Blouis from now on!

OMG... I know Gossip Girl are famous for these moments, but really last night's episode was jaw-droppingly good.

Serena fulfilled her destiny of becoming a back stabbing biatch, Nate finally turned his back on a booze addled Chuck and oh, Chuck- this is where it all fell down spectacularly.

I'm not really sure where I stand on this character anymore, but what I do know is that I don't want to see him with Blair for a very long time, and dare I say it, maybe never again.

Embarrassing her in public, attacking her like a man possessed and then claiming her like a possession had me covering my eyes and shaking my head. (Yes, I know I'm dramatic!)

Is anyone still Team Chair?
So yes, I am now on Team Blouis! That's Blair and Louis to you non GG followers. He's the prince who has slowly won me over in the past two episodes and had me cheering when he went down on one knee.

After the writers have pretty much abandoned Dair, this is my new ship, which will undoubtedly fall apart in the last few episodes, as so many ill conceived finales do.

Leave Blair and Louis together and Chair fans will be up in arms (although I bet some have been swayed by Chuck's behaviour last night) or give Dair a chance to see if Dan and Blair could ever make the Princess and the Pauper story work.

With Jack Bass returning next week and threatening to topple Chuck over the edge (I have seen him being dragged off in a restraining jacket, no less) I think we are building to an uber dramatic climax.

On a quick side note- I am loving Charlie now it has been revealed she isn't quite so cutsie and innocent as first made out. After sending Vanessa on her way, I'm thinking Dan may be in serious trouble if she carries on her bunny boiling antics!

And could Blair's royal dresses get any more beautiful? That sequined Jenny Packham was just breathtaking... just think what her wedding dress would be like if storyline's followed through and she did indeed marry the prince?!

After weeks of being apart and Blair FINALLY moving on, it seems she's right back to square one, if these pics are anything to go by.

As much as I loved Chuck and Blair together initially, I think the writers have finally run out of steam with most fans backing Blair and Dan now.

Gossip Girl's Dan & Blair: The Kiss!

As you may have gathered I'm a huge Gossip Girl fan, and despite being one week behind the US, guess what I've uncovered...

Ok, I've not really uncovered it as it was all over YouTube and fan sites have been raving about it since Tuesday morning, but still- it's the Dair moment we've all been waiting for!

The kiss to end all kisses... yes it's like a second long, but the weeks of tension between the two most opposite people finally came to a head.

And if that's not exciting enough, the promo for GG's return in April (boo!) is even better, as it shows Chuck confronting Dan about it!

For those of you who are avid fans of Gossip Girl, you will appreciate this very interesting set photo above.

It features the gorgeous Prince Louis, last seen being left with a Roger Vivier shoe and a hint that Blair would like to see him again some day.

Well, it's taken him 17 more episodes, but it looks like the very lovely Louis is back to woo Blair.

What will Chuck say?! Well, to be honest he deserves everything her gets after a being a thoroughly crappy boyf and friend for the past two seasons!

All that aside, how gorge does Blair look here in her green coat and pink bag ensemble- totally working that colour clash princess Blair!

Yes I've watched the new episode before it aired last night, but I was still very excited for the return of GG to our screens.

Highlight's included...

- Blair getting a personal smack down from her mum- I never saw this coming, but it was very humbling for the former Queen B.

- Dan being so damn gullible and always throwing everything away for Serena.

- Lily finally redeeming herself- lets be honest, she hit rock bottom before Xmas.

- New character Raina seriously giving Leighton and Blake a run for their money both in the beauty and style stakes.

-Dan & Blair being too cute for words in their exchanges...I predict at least a kiss before the season end. Yay!

- B and S looking a bit casual in this ep. See pic above- Loved Blair's scarf and Serena does look eerily like her mum.

Next week looks A-Mazing.. Blair and Dan go head to head as interns, which includes a punch up at a party. Welcome back guys, we've missed you.

Fashion TV Watch: Gossip Girl

I don't know about you, but I am loving season four of Gossip Girl. After flagging last year, it is back with a bang, especially if last night's episode is anything to go by!

My eternal love goes to ITV2 for playing the episode a mere two days after it airs in the US, as the Witches of Bushwick was not to be missed.

When it comes to fashion romances, there are none so great as Chuck and Blair, who consider naming designers in a frantic frenzy some kind of kinky foreplay.

Both so effortless stylish, with a touch of old age Hollywood glamour about them- they are simply delicious to look at on screen together.

How hot was Blair when she unzipped her dress and went to Chuck's party in her underwear?! For two sinners to go up in flames like that in public was an AMAZING moment in GG history.

Anyway, to the sub plot- three witches drawn together to take Serena down. Juliet, Vanessa, and Jenny all have a score to settle with the blonde one and boy, did they hang her out to dry.

I loved Serena's Carolina Herrera dress she wore to the masked ball by the way; so delicate and pretty. Maybe they were trying to show her vulnerability in this episode?

It didn't show any leg and hardly any cleavage, which for Serena is practically a cry for help!

Being shunned by Nate, Dan & Blair was one thing, but to be bungled off in a taxi by the evil Juliet? Surely a step too far?!

Who knows, but one things for sure- Gaslit, episode 10 of season four is sure to be a blinder. XOXO

Yes, I know all you lovely people in the US and Canada have had the pleasure of seeing the season premiere last night, but for us here in the UK we’ve still got a while to wait…

With only eight days to go until the new season kicks off, I’ve just had a minor heart attack seeing the new pics of the cast on set.

Rumoured to be taking place in episode six, not only is Project Runway legend Tim Gunn involved in some way, but Jenny is back… and she’s been papped having a showdown with Chuck and Blair.

Picture the scene… Jenny, the shamed school girl who has been deflowered by former mentor and rival Blair’s ex-boyfriend, who she still has feelings for- Chuck, all standing together in one uncomfortable moment.

Awkward wouldn't even begin to cover it...lol

Anyway enough about that, let’s talk about the clothes! Serena’s been papped wearing trousers (OMG) but just when I thought she’d turned a corner, she teamed it with a v. low cut top.

Jenny looked as skanky as ever with her bleached locks and stripper shoes, but that navy blue sparkly dress was pretty sensational.

As for Blair, well she looked absolutely stunning in a Victoria Beckham design, finally proving why she is the Queen of style on this show.

My Wishlist for Autumn: A Burberry Avaiator Jacket!

Whether it’s a slow news day or I’m just bored of commenting on other people’s style I don’t know, but hey- let’s make it all about me for once!

The trends have been circulating around the fashion magazines for a while and the stores have been planning their key looks for months, so now they’ve finally hit the high street- the question is- what do I choose?!

Here's my top buys for Autumn/Winter 2010...

Cape: I was undecided about this look, but I’ve just seen a military style cape on ASOS and I’m now in love. Since Blair wore a cape on the GG finale, it would be rude not to pay homage to my favourite style icon.



Avaitor Jacket: You have Burberry primarily to thank for sparking this trend; the shearing jacket is going to be massive. I have my eye on one in New Look, one in DP’s and one in Topshop. The question is how nice will Santa be to me this Christmas?


Velvet: I already own a plum coloured velvet mini dress from last year, so this will work very nicely once again this season. I shall be teaming it with my lace up biker boots and lace tights for a gothic look this Autumn. Then again my red velvet Jimmy Choos will also be most welcome...hehe.

Something in Camel: The camel coat is back once again, but I’m thinking I may ditch this and opt for a jumper, shirt or cigarette pant instead. H&M have some lurvly pieces in a the moment so I plan on having a spree there this weekend.



Patent boots: Forget distressed or biker, I'm after some super shiny low heeled boots this Autumn. I've yet to find any which have really tickled my fancy, although KG do have some beauties this season.

I’m literally hyperventilating over the fact that there is only 17 days left to the GG season four premiere. Squeal!

Just because I’m nice, here are some fab new trailers promoting the return of the best show ever. Shut up- it is.

We have Blair calling Humphrey a donut, Serena trying to pick between Dan and Nate, Blair meeting a prince and Nate becoming Chuck 2.0 with some skanky looking hookers...

OMG. The first Gossip Girl trailer for Season 4 has just had its premiere online and the verdict is in.... frickin fantastic!

Featuring clips of Serena, Blair and Chuck running around in Paris, our fave trio have certainly been busy over the summer holidays if this trailer is anything to go by...

Blair pushing Serena into a fountain, Serena getting hot and heavy with well, everyone and Chuck finally re-uniting with Blair in what looks set to be an dramatic confrontation.

As for the outfits- well, Eric Daman has outdone himself with the first two episodes of the new season. Here’s my verdict on B, S and C’s outfits from the teaser trailer...

Blair: My favourite character doesn’t quite do the business fashion wise in this trailer. Sure she looks stunning in a beret, but compared to Serena, it’s all a bit mismatched and dare I say it- boring. Thankfully she rescues it right at the end with a stunning red strapless dress, smoky eyes and a jewelled necklace to meet Chuck for a rendezvous.

Serena: I’ve often thought about it, but having seen her strut her stuff in this new trailer, it’s official- I want to be Serena. Sequined mini dresses, high waisted pink harems, sparkly tailored jackets and an emerald green maxi dress, which is just too gorgeous for words. Full marks Miss Van der Woodsen.

Chuck: Seems our playboy has got a new look and my god does he look hot! Fitted shirts, casual waistcoats, ruffled hair and the addition of a cane makes him officially GG’s hottest male. Nate who?

Gossip Girl Back in Fashion!

Gossip Girl season four has finally begun filming! I may have been counting down the days since the OMG ending in May left me lost for words, so to hear this news has made me a very happy bunny indeed.

Filming started in Paris at the start of July, with leading characters Blair, Serena and Chuck all papped in a variety of fabulous outfits.

Serena may well have the edge on Blair this year however, with her gorgeous Grecian maxi dresses, sequinned minis, tailored blazers and straw boaters.

Blair meanwhile has experimented with clashing patterns, leopard print and ruffles aplenty in the pap shots I've seen, and lets just say the result isn't very good.

Don't get me wrong, she is my favourite character and I've loved her style since season one, but after a so-so series three, this one seems to have gotten off to a bad start.

As for everyone's favourite motherchucker, he's now got a French girlfriend and walks with a cane- probably the result of being shot in Russia a few months ago; do keep up!

He's also looking uber-hot in tight shirts, which have a slightly Patrick Swayze circa Dirty Dancing feel about them!

Personally I'm very excited about kick off in Septemeber, especially since the set shots this week have shown all the gang back in NYC wearing some very gorgeous couture!
