Time for Tights

I have friends who have sworn blind they will not be fishing out the hosiery until October, but when tights offer so much variety these days, why on earth would you want to wait?!

Personally, I’ve had them on standby since mid-August, until that blasted heat wave forced me to retire them until earlier this month.

With so many options to choose from why wouldn’t you want to splurge on loud colours, patterned goodies and cosy winter woollens?

Considering we are only in September and it is FREEZING outside, be smart and snap up these beauties before the snow hits and tights are abandoned for thermal leggings and multiple pairs of trousers.

Monday Must Have!

Every now and again, you just need to buy a jumper with a delightful brightly coloured unicorn emblazed on it.

Today is that day my friends. This little beauty from ASOS is the perfect pick me up after a long Monday in the office.

I'll be teaming this with a shirt and skinny black jeans for a casual office look, or jazzing it up with a leather skirt and ankle boots for after work drinks. Gorge!

The countdown begins...

Prince's William and Harry will be arriving in about 5 minutes time, most of the guests are seated in the Abbey and I have nearly finished baking my brownies.

In other Wedding related news- did you see Tara Palmer Tomkinson's hat? It is not flattering in the slightest way and it looks as though it would take your eye out if you got too close!

Some girlies from TOWIE are apparently guests at the wedding according to ASOS, although they could be pulling my leg and just making the comparision, due to the gals they were talking about having perma tans. Who knows?!

Lastly Kate's hairdressers have been busy making mood boards for the big day, and Pauls Reed reckons her hair will end up being unfussy and down in loose curls.

Ahh excited!

ASOS Marketplace Review!

The things I do for you lot, honestly! During a very busy hour of research on Friday afternoon, I came across ASOS's latest vision- ASOS Marketplace.

To be honest, it was a total accident- I was planning on browsing their new items when up it flashed, telling me to click it, so I did.

Marketplace is a vintage lovers dream basically, so I'm very glad I stumbled upon it. Vintage Chanel up to buy for under £500? Yes please. Retro dresses for under £50? Go on then. You can see how it went on from there...

The idea is brilliantly simple- emerging designers and one-off talent, combined with established boutiques selling gorgeous vintage pieces sums up the basics of what ASOS Marketplace is about.

You can secure great one-off's, discover something new and learn all about swapping & selling online.

Floral Jacket £15.99 Omg I love this, I may have to get on and buy quick because this little beauty is bound to sell fast!

Teal studded Heels £40.00 I must have a thing for teal coloured shoes- I own three pairs already, but these are just deliciously retro.

Buckle Loafers £26 Alexa Chung is to thank for the loafers trend and these won't break the bank either- a sure fire hit, me thinks.

Tan Swing Coat £70 This is an investment which needs to be made now before if gets grabbed by someone else. Vintage Aquascutum, could it get any better?!

It’s Christmas Eve Eve… how thrilling! Apparently this is set to be the busiest shopping day of the year, although I think tomorrow will probably be even more manic.

Every year you see gaggles of men- all with a look of sheer panic upon their faces trying frantically to get everything bought and wrapped in time for the big day.

Personally I’ve done all my shopping now, so here I am giving the last bit of advice to my loved ones as to what I’d like...

I've long been a fan of ASOS and their ever expanding collections, which is how I stumbled across their Revive collection.

Vintage clothes are my kryptonite usually, so to find some specially made pieces which have a eclectic vintage touch to them is like a dream come true!

I think I'll go with their gorgeous Cooper & Stollbrand hitch coat please Santa. Country Heritage chic at its best I would say, and well worth the £200. I'll take two...

Every now and again I stumble across something which I think has the makings of something big.

ASOS or As Seen On Screen as it was known six or so years ago was one of my discoveries, and after bragging to everyone in high school, look how big it became!

Ok, so maybe it wasn’t just my contribution which made it the massive success it is today, but still, I spotted the potential there!

Anyway, my point dear readers, is this- Prodigy Red is a relatively new website specialising in recreating celeb looks for a fraction of the cost.

My Top 5 style buys for Autumn

My Wishlist for Autumn: A Burberry Avaiator Jacket!

Whether it’s a slow news day or I’m just bored of commenting on other people’s style I don’t know, but hey- let’s make it all about me for once!

The trends have been circulating around the fashion magazines for a while and the stores have been planning their key looks for months, so now they’ve finally hit the high street- the question is- what do I choose?!

Here's my top buys for Autumn/Winter 2010...

Cape: I was undecided about this look, but I’ve just seen a military style cape on ASOS and I’m now in love. Since Blair wore a cape on the GG finale, it would be rude not to pay homage to my favourite style icon.



Avaitor Jacket: You have Burberry primarily to thank for sparking this trend; the shearing jacket is going to be massive. I have my eye on one in New Look, one in DP’s and one in Topshop. The question is how nice will Santa be to me this Christmas?


Velvet: I already own a plum coloured velvet mini dress from last year, so this will work very nicely once again this season. I shall be teaming it with my lace up biker boots and lace tights for a gothic look this Autumn. Then again my red velvet Jimmy Choos will also be most welcome...hehe.

Something in Camel: The camel coat is back once again, but I’m thinking I may ditch this and opt for a jumper, shirt or cigarette pant instead. H&M have some lurvly pieces in a the moment so I plan on having a spree there this weekend.



Patent boots: Forget distressed or biker, I'm after some super shiny low heeled boots this Autumn. I've yet to find any which have really tickled my fancy, although KG do have some beauties this season.
