Jessie J in Vintage Chanel!

Jessie J in 1980s Chanel Gilt Metal Pendant

She's one of the hottest musical talents around right now, but I'm interested in Jessie J for a different reason... her style.

She is fast becoming, as we fashion bloggers would say, the 'style icon du jour', which basically means that she's red hot on the style radar right now and everybody wants a piece of her.

A Louboutin obsession and uber shiny hair puts her on par with Katy Perry, but her edginess and raw style is what sets her apart.

With a flair for vintage, she's deffo one to watch. For her stint in the US recently, she's been papped in a stunning Chanel pendant teamed with her trademark hooped earrings and skinny biker jacket.

What really impresses me about Jessie J is that she does stand out, for all the right reasons, thanks to her style. Vintage accessorising is something you can get really right or horribly wrong.

You can't really go amiss with Chanel- especially 1980s Chanel and what's so great is that we mere mortals can get a piece of the designer action too.

Jessie's piece was provided by Susan Caplan's Vintage Collection at ASOS.com priced at a mere £895!

Ok, so it's a pricey piece of bling, but think about it- VINTAGE CHANEL...as in one-of-a-kind unique! Surely that is worth a splurge?!

Katy Perry ditched from Sesame Street!

They’ve gone too far this time… Katy Perry in all her cleavage baring glory has been ditched from Sesame Street !

After parents apparently fumed at the producers of SS about Perry’s appearance being a bad influence, the powers which be have reportedly decided not to broadcast it.

And if you think I’m being dramatic, the video which shows KP and Elmo having a right old giggle has been removed by the user!

Never fear KP fans, I’ve posted it again from her official page. Clearly she’s not embarrassed and good on her!

It's PC gone mad once again my friends… gone mad.

LFW: Ashish’s Fast Food Catwalk

Ashish SS11...are McDonald's in fashion?!

You’ve got to love Ashish. Always one to go one step further on the runway, his London Fashion Week SS10 show treated us to fast food on the catwalk.

Bet you never thought you’d see the words ‘fast food’ and ‘catwalk ‘in the same sentence, but this one designer has seemingly achieved the impossible!

He sent cowboy boots with both the McDonald’s and Heinz Baked Beans logo emblazened all over them!

Utterly brilliant and bonkers at the same time. I know of only two women who would probably give them a go though- Lady Gaga and Katy Perry.

Considering Lady G has experimented with raw meat and KP has dressed like both a banana and fried egg, they are clearly the right clientele for this kind of fashion!

It’s Official! Everyone Loves Katy Perry…

Katy Perry playing dress-up on Sesame Street. Genius!

OMG Katy Perry on Sesame Street is the most amazing collaboration ever.

Sure she loves playing up to her kinky image, but she’s also a total wacko (in a nice way) and her teaming up with Elmo is just genius.

Wearing a hugely inappropriate low cut dress for Children's TV, she’s still kept up her cheeky persona while appealing to a whole new audience. Clever girl.

She does spend a hefty amount of time chasing Elmo around a cartoon set, but when she finally catches up to him to sing, the result is like a great big hug.

It does beg the question however- Can KP do no wrong?! Number 1 albums and singles, a marriage in the works to a reformed Russell Brand and a killer body to boot?

Is there literally no-one left who dislikes Katy?! Didn’t think so…

Check out Katy’s performance on Sesame Street below and let me know what you think!

VMAs Fashion Gossip!

Lady Gaga wows in meat dress on stage at VMAs

After last year’s antics at the VMAs (you know Kanye West gate crashing Taylor Swift’s speech, Lil Mama climbing the stage while Alicia Keys performed) who would of thought this year could top it?!

As usual, Lady Gaga was the primary source of entertainment in her many outfits- the most shocking of all being a dress made entirely of meat.

Looking like Ross Noble’s stand-up incarnation had come to life, Gaga teamed her meaty dress with some furry boots and mismatched fishnet tights.

Now if she hadn’t already done the whole meat bikini thing last week for Vogue Japan it may have had more of an impact.

That said she did totally wow in a regal Alexander McQueen gown, complete with headdress and 12inch platforms, which drew gasps from the audience as she arrived with her entourage.

And when she picked up her award for Best Pop Video award she pulled out all the stops in stunning black leather Armani Prive gown.

In other fashion news, Katy Perry decided to pay homage to her hubby-to-be Russell Brand, by painting him on her nails. Bless!

Others who impressed me on the night was the stunning Florence Welch. Now, this lady is all about the quirky but last night she looked like she belonged at the Oscars.

A sweeping gold Jewel-encrusted mermaid gown totally stole the show, even though she was competing with the likes of Gaga and Perry. Way to fly the flag for the Brits Flo!

X Factor Fashion: Cher Rules!

Cher Lloyd on X Factor- Copyright ITV

After last week's disappointing show (although I did love Katy Perry in all her sparkly wonder) X Factor was back on fine form this week.

Forget the ego-tastic judges though; this week was all about the contestants and their fantastic stage outfits.

I use the term fantastic loosely though, as we did have an Elton John impersonator early on, which at best was an awful tribute and at worse, well, let’s not go there.

No, the real star of the show this week was 16-year-old Cheryl wannabe Cher. Her rendition of Soulja Boy's Turn My Swag On was mesmerising and refreshingly different to anything that's ever been done on X Factor before.

I loved her look as well; a cross between early Cheryl Tweedy (slightly chavvy ripped jeans and messy hair) and new Cheryl- sleek in a fitted military jacket and platforms.

After Cher we were treated to Justin Bieber masquerading as 16-year-old Liam Payne, who was booted off the show two years ago for not being ready for stardom.

His goosebump-inducing rendition of Michael Buble's Cry Me a River earned a standing ovation from the Cowell and an uncertain Natalie Imbruglia.

Ahh, Ms Imbruglia. Well that was a bit of a damp squib wasn't it? After committing the ultimate faux par and arriving in the same pink dress two days running, her contribution was pretty much zilch for the whole show.

So far its been hit and miss with the guest judges, so with Pixie Lott and Nicole Scherzinger still to come, let’s hope they make a better impression than Geri and now Natalie have done.

To end the show on a high, or low whichever way you choose to look at it were two real life Vicky Pollard's.

After insulting Louis (hilarious), slamming for Natalie by not knowing who she was (mean, but funny) they then told the audience to shut up (big mistake... 3000 people booing you, no-one could've recovered from that).

Anyway, it ended up with the chavtastic twosome (complete with horrible furry boots, I might add) having a bit of a punch up and being pulled apart by Simon's military team. Hehe.

Bring on next week I say!
