Considering I was just 12 when the first film was released, I feel certain nostalgia now that the finale of the Harry Potter series draws ever nearer to a close.

Having watched the new trailer around 100 times since Warner Bros released it early this morning, I am now very sure about three things-

1. It will clearly be a smash
2. Voldemort has gotten scarier
3. All three leads are now leading fashion icons in their own right!

Seriously, Emma Watson started off as a little girl with frizzy hair and white tights, now she’s a worldwide style icon with a campaign for Burberry under her belt.

Daniel Radcliffe was a geek in glasses and then he beefed up, stripped off and took a chance with some crazy coloured suits- all of a sudden he’s someone to admire for his fashion sense.

Then there’s Rupert Grint- funny from the start with wild red hair and freckles. Now he’s worked on his bod, grown his locks out and is still pretty darn funny.

As the stills and the trailer shows, all three have grown up enormously since that awkward Philosopher’s Stone exchange. They’re now fully fledged actors, who have quite simply become their characters to many fans.

Emma has the obvious fashion credentials- anyone can see that from her gorgeous Glastonbury outfit last weekend, and what I love is that some of her style has filtered down into the bookish Hermione.

That tailored navy blazer she wears on the run and that stunning red wedding dress are just a few of the fashion spoilers we’ve been treated to in the new trailer.

As for Harry and Ron, well they work the jeans and hoodie combo with real style! Together they just look the part and no wonder fans are getting very excited a mere five months away from its release.

Me personally, I’ve already booked my seat in the queue for the first midnight showing. Maybe it’s mad, or maybe just maybe it’s magic...
