Jimmy Choo collaborates with UGG

Jimmy Choo & Ugg Mandha boot: Rate or Slate?

Now there are some things that should never be combined and quite possibly this is one of them; Jimmy Choo, arguably the holy grail of women’s footwear has designed a range for UGG.

To be fair, I see the appeal and I can see the logic. Nearly every woman in the world owns a pair of UGGs; they are the ultimate in comfortable footwear and every woman that I know inspires to own a pair of Choos, so in theory this is a match made in heaven.

Having seen the design though, I’m not convinced. Studs, stars and tassels are the main differences to your standard pair of UGGS.

They’ve definitely been give the Choo master touch, but to me they just don’t look luxurious enough to justify the £495-£695 price tag they’ve been given.

Will they be a sell out? Of course. Will a host of celebs be papped in them over winter? No doubt.

So essentially they are a success. Personally I prefer what they did for Hunter- those croc print wellies were oh-so chic and could be worn with anything.

Maybe they’ll grow on me. Maybe if I stare at the picture long enough I’ll feel inspired to buy... maybe, just maybe.

What do you think? Are they the ultimate in chic styling, or a bit tacky for your taste?

Wednesday Weakness: Wellies!

We're now three days into this new feature of mine and can you guess the canny literary technique I've been using?! Yes, alliteration is my tactic to make it seem more appealing. So, er, is it working? lol

Either way I've still got three more days to cover, so onto today, which is all about my fashion weaknesses.

Now, my list is pretty endless, but seeing as I am braving the perils of camping this weekend, I feel I should be practical and purchase some wellies.

By fashion law I should already have a pair of Hunters stored away for festival occasions, but alas the price tag has always put me off.

So, I've scoured the high-street for an alternative and have come up trumps with these croc patent ones from Miss Selfridge.

In at £25 they are considerably less than Hunters, but in my view just as chic... Yes these will do nicely. Sold!
