So... Daybreak- What do we think?

Daybreak: Rate or slate so far?

You may recall last week my scathing take on new show Daybreak and its imminent new launch; you know, where I basically said it's going to be tosh? Well, erm, seems I was right.

Alright, it's not awful- but it's bordering on it at times. I don't like the new studio, I don't like the over appreciative crew (they laugh everytime Adrian speaks) and yes, I don't like the Bleakley and Chiles combo first thing in the morning.

He looks like an old owl about to hoot each time he squints at the autocue and she never stops smiling. Seriously, never ever- I think she's incapable of frowning...

Anyway, first day fashion wasn't too bad- they both looked very grown up and professional in muted tones of grey, but admittedly Christine is gorgeous and could make a bin bag look stunning.

This morning she definitely upped the ante though in a psychedelic print sleeveless dress.

That was the best thing about the two and half hour show; I actually spent most of it on google trying to find out where it was from!

If you think I'm being harsh you should read Jan Moir's take on it for the Daily Mail.

I think she's bang on the money with her review though, and makes an interesting tanning analogy to coffee, which may make Christine think twice about flashing her pins on breakfast TV again.

What do you think though, are they a winning combination or a total waste of time?

What do you think of the new Daybreak line-up?

Adrian Chiles & Christine Bleakley reunited! Copyright ITV

Well, well avid ITV viewers, GMTV is about to disappear forever and be replaced with a brand new shiny show called Daybreak.

I know... I'm not keen on the name either. I'm even less keen that they ruthlessly ditched all the presenters to make way for some new happy people who look too glossy to be real.

Ok, so Adrian Chiles isn't exactly shiny, but Christine Bleakley?! My god that woman is far too happy for breakfast TV.

Having watched GMTV for most of my teenage and adult life, I'm kind of sad that it's coming to an end, and having never watched The One Show I have no idea what to expect from the new line-up.

I'm told they're a great combo together, but from that nauseating advert with Chiles in his undies, well I'm not holding out much hope.

If you think I seem grumpy it may be from seeing the new promo shot above. It may just be me but don't they look a bit too smug?

Give me sarcasm, unfunny jokes and Richard Arnold any day- yes, it's only since he's left that I've realised how much I liked him!

The One Show: Fashion flops or not?

Jason Manford and Alex Jones on last night's 'The One Show' Copyright BBC

Now that all the fuss has died down a bit, I thought I’d throw my two penny's worth in and give my opinion on the new look ‘One Show’.

Considering I never watched it before Bleakely and Chiles defected to ITV, I’ve got nothing to compare Jason Manford and some Welsh lass called Alex Jones to.

Critics pretty much mauled their appearance on Monday night, with the Daily Mail’s columnist, Amanda Platell slamming the pair for having no chemistry.

Oh, but how opinions have changed two days on now that the viewing figures have been announced. Viewers tuned in in droves to see the pair make their debut and now the Manford and Jones combo has been hailed a massive success. How very fickle.

Anyway, all I’m bothered about is how Alex is faring in the fashion stakes considering she's been likened to a carbon copy of Christine.

Well, she’s pleasant enough with shiny hair and a generous smile, but as for her style? Well, I didn’t like her outfit on Monday night at all- it seemed a bit retro and not cutting edge enough in my view, while Manford’s tomato/burgundy coloured shirt was just plain boring.

As for last night’s offering, well I think they're improving! Alex's pinky plum look was much more flattering, but Jason still has a lot to learn about fashion.

His Purple oddly creased shirt was a big no-no in my eyes- bring him out of the style doldrums and give the man a makeover! He's got all the assets, he just needs to know how to use them.
