Li-Lo goes back to her roots

Lindsay Lohan rocking the red: Picture from Daily Mail

Lindsay Lohan has had a rough couple of years and that is putting it mildly. Endless prison stints, drug and alcohol abuse and of course, over bleaching her once gorgeous locks so they resembled nothing more than a stack of straw- that one hit me particularly bad.

Well, it looks like Li-Lo has finally turned a corner. She's cleaned up her act, poked fun at herself on TV and has landed the role of Elizabeth Turner in an upcoming movie.

But nothing cheers me up more than seeing the once fabulous actress return to her roots, sort out her fashion sense and stop pumping collagen into her lips.

Yes, it really seems like she is back on track with gorgeous red locks reminiscent of her early Freaky Friday/Mean Girl days and outfits which don't make me want to weep.

Forget if she can actually resurrect her career, as long as she carries on looking pretty and clean, her fans should return in droves.

In fact, watching Emma Stone in Easy A last night, I couldn't help but notice the striking similarities between her and Lohan. So much so, I kept doing double takes every time my attention wandered away from the screen for a few minutes.

Can Lohan reclaim her teen crown? Well, in all honesty she's past those days and it's a shame because she had so much more to give, but as a credible actress in grown up roles, will people buy into it and more importantly, will anyone actually hire her?

We will see. Until then, loving the hair Li-Lo!

Guess who is the new face of Miu Miu?

Ok, this is interesting. I know Miu Miu have a rep as Prada’s little sister to be quirky and cool, but hiring a 14-year-old to represent your line may be taking it a bit far!

The actress in question is Hailee Steinfeld, who you may remember earned an Oscar nod for her role in True Grit earlier this year.

She's been steadily wowing the fashion pack with her age-appropriate red carpet dresses and Miu Miu have already created outfits for her on a number of occasions.

Previous ambassadors of the brand include Kirsten Dunst and Lindsay Lohan, so does Hailee really have the pulling power to match them?

Well... I think she's just a bit TOO young for this. After all, she appeals to other kids her age, but stylish women in the 20-30's age bracket may well be put off, by what could essentially be their daughter modelling clothes.

Who knows though, she may be a mega hit. If this sparks a trend for teeny boppers ruling the big fashion campaigns then Chloe Moretz and Elle Fanning are sure to follow in Hailee's footsteps.
